Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students’ communication and learning as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on an onsite contract assignment. This opportunity is perfect for licensed SLPs with CCCs and a dedication to delivering impactful therapy and assessments in a school setting. You’ll be making a difference by covering maternity leaves during the high-energy fall and winter school months.
There are two immediate openings:
- The first begins late September and concludes mid-December.
- The second, tentatively, runs from mid-November through the start of January.
You’ll be working 35 hours a week, providing vital speech-language services to students across grade levels. Your expertise and adaptability are crucial, as you’ll collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
• Valid Connecticut SLP license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• At least one year of school-based experience
• Experience working with K-12 student populations
• Must be available for onsite work; SLPAs are not eligible
• Successful completion of district fingerprinting and background check
• Comfortable with Zoom interviews
• Upfront licensure verification preferred
Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to K-12 students
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop IEP goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support team members
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
