Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing on-site support in an engaging elementary school environment near Long Beach, CA. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, focusing on making meaningful connections and measurable progress with an elementary caseload assigned across multiple school sites.
Your daily work will involve assessing students’ communication and swallowing disorders, crafting individualized goals, collaborating in IEP meetings, and delivering direct speech-language therapy. The itinerant nature of the caseload introduces variety to each day, as you travel between campus locations delivering high-impact support where it’s needed most.
What you’ll bring:
- Current, active California Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- Prior experience in school-based settings (preferred)
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) is a plus
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt to multiple environments and work independently
In this role, you’ll take ownership of your therapy sessions while contributing to multidisciplinary educational teams. Participation in evaluations and direct therapy, as well as consistent communication with families and staff, will be key to student success.
