Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Biola, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. You'll collaborate closely with an experienced supervising SLP, ensuring guidance and a welcoming environment as you deliver essential speech and language services. This role is structured to provide coverage for a maternity leave, running from mid-October to early February, and focuses on a diverse TK-5 caseload at the elementary level.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 months of hands-on experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school setting
• Current and valid California SLPA license (required)
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting younger learners, with sensitivity to a range of communication needs
• Bilingual (Spanish) abilities are a plus, though not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individual and group speech therapy sessions under SLP supervision
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Engage with staff and families to support communication goals
• Adapt session activities to address students’ developmental stages and varying needs
