Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist on a school-based contract running from August 6th through May 28th. Work close to the Lockhart, TX area, providing vital speech-language services in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. There are two positions available, each offering the opportunity to work onsite across assigned school campuses while serving approximately 60 students. Grade levels will range from PK through 12th, and campus assignments are matched to your expertise and preferences wherever possible.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Recent experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Capability to provide assessment, intervention, and documentation for diverse student needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators
- Flexibility to work at 1–2 campuses, with caseloads tailored to strengths and grade-level preference
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and participate in IEP meetings
- Write and maintain accurate reports, progress notes, and Medicaid documentation as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
- Support students across PK-12 settings or specific campuses based on your skills and interests
