Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Alabama ASHA certification
- Alabama Educator SLP Certificate, or eligibility to start with pending status (see official certification portal for details)
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to comfortably travel between multiple school sites within the assignment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students onsite
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation per school district policies
- Rotate between assigned campuses to ensure coverage and continuity of services
