School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Strasburg, Virginia

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications & Experience

• Current and valid Virginia (VA) SLP License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Prior school-based experience is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and data collection
• Familiarity with a range of speech and language disorders
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and family members to support student goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as appropriate
• Educate staff and families on strategies to enhance communication skills in the classroom and at home
• Maintain clear records and adhere to all district and state compliance guidelines
