Welder I - AM shift

This role is responsible for welding manufactured components consisting of stainless steel according to customer specifications. The shift is from 7am-3:30pm, M-F.

Main Job Duties:

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufactured components
• Review and understand work instructions and blueprints to ensure proper components are used
• Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problems
• Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders
• Follow instructions as provided by supervisor
• Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
• Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
• Adhere to all company safety regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of welding experience is required
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to understand a work order to use proper components is required
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints is required
• Knowledge of quality assurance concepts to identify and prevent errors within the production process is preferred
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift
• Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool
• Capable of lifting 45 pounds
• Capable of working in a manufacturing environment
