Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-8 students by providing speech-language therapy services within a supportive educational setting in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. This opportunity gives you the chance to work with a diverse caseload of 35 students, addressing a broad range of communication needs in a school-based environment. The contract runs from early September through early June, ensuring you’ll impact a full academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP) in Minnesota
- DOE (Department of Education) certification for SLP in MN
- Experience in school settings is preferred, especially with K-8 populations
- Comfortable working with a variety of disabilities and individualized needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for K-8 students
- Develop and carry out individualized therapy plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and interventions
- Collaborate effectively with educational staff and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
- Support open communication with families to maximize student outcomes
- Adapt interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
