Desired Qualifications:

  • Current licensure through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
  • Experience providing art therapy or similar school-based mental health services
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage and document sessions with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Flexibility and comfort traveling between assigned district sites during contract hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group art therapy sessions to a caseload of 15 students
  • Develop and implement customized art therapy interventions that support students’ social-emotional goals
  • Collaborate with school teams to integrate art therapy into student support plans as needed
  • Maintain confidential, accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Communicate clearly with school staff and families while adhering to district and ethical guidelines

This is an onsite-only position, allowing you to build authentic relationships with students and staff in a supportive school environment. Work part-time (20 hours per week between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm), making a real impact while enjoying steady hours and variety in your schedule.
