Job Description
Make a difference in students’ lives while enjoying a flexible contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist covering a maternity leave for the start of the 2026–2027 school year. This assignment is scheduled from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026, serving elementary and middle school students across two conveniently located school buildings.
This position is ideal for professionals who value autonomy—set your own daily schedule to cover a caseload of approximately 90 students in grades K–8 between Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School. With a manageable 7-hour workday (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), you’ll provide essential services without being expected to cover the entire span of both school days.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience providing speech and language therapy in a school setting, particularly with K–8 populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and development of effective therapy plans
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload and coordinate services between two sites
- Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy for students with a range of communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address students’ needs
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Provide consultative support to staff and families to promote student success
