Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Chowchilla, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) this fall and winter. This full-time position runs from mid-October through early February, providing important coverage for a valued colleague on maternity leave. You’ll work primarily with a TK-5th grade caseload in an engaging elementary setting.

This role offers the chance to collaborate directly with an experienced supervising SLP, who values strong communication and teamwork. Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active California SLPA license required
• At least 3 months of recent experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school setting
• Bilingual Spanish language skills are a bonus, but not required
• Eager to work collaboratively with a supervising SLP
• Clear background and reference checks

Key Responsibilities:

• Support speech-language therapy sessions for students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade
• Carry out therapy plans designed by the SLP supervisor
• Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP processes as directed
