SVOE is Hiring a Field Service Technician
Job Description
LIKE TECHNOLOGY? GOOD AT FIGURING OUT HOW THINGS WORK?
SVOE is hiring a Field Service Technician.
If you're the person who likes working on cars, building computers, fixing electronics, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, or figuring out why something isn't working—we should talk.
You don't need years of experience. We'll train the right person.
We're looking for someone who's dependable, willing to learn, good with their hands, comfortable with technology, and ready to start building a career.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
This isn't a job where you'll stand in the same place doing the same thing all day.
You'll be out in the field working with customers and learning how to:
- Diagnose and repair printers, copiers, scanners, and other business technology
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, computer, and network problems
- Install and set up new equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Solve problems on your own
- Work directly with customers throughout the area
Every day brings something different.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Paid Training
We'll teach you the equipment, technology, and troubleshooting skills you need to succeed.
Real Technical Skills
Learn mechanical systems, electronics, computers, networking, software, and troubleshooting—skills you can build a career around.
Independence
Once you're trained, you'll spend much of your day managing service calls and solving problems instead of having someone looking over your shoulder all day.
Career Growth
This can be the beginning of a technical career, not just another job.
Established Local Company
SVOE has been serving Virginia businesses since 1934. You'll get the stability of an established company while working with constantly changing technology.
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF...
- You like taking things apart and figuring out how they work.
- Friends and family ask you to fix their technology.
- You enjoy working with your hands.
- You're comfortable around computers and electronics.
- You'd rather move around than sit behind a desk all day.
- You like solving problems.
- You can work independently and show up when you're supposed to.
- You're willing to learn and want to get better at what you do.
Experience with printers, copiers, electronics, computers, automotive repair, mechanical equipment, IT, networking, maintenance, or other technical work is a plus.
But experience isn't everything.
We're interested in finding someone with the aptitude, attitude, and work ethic to become a great technician.
BUILD A CAREER. LEARN A TRADE. WORK WITH TECHNOLOGY.
You don't need to have your entire career figured out.
You just need to be ready to learn.
