Direct Support Professional

Safe Harbor Home Healthcare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Whether you have previous caregiving experience or are looking to start a rewarding career helping others, we welcome individuals who are passionate about making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene
• Support clients with community participation, appointments, and recreational activities
• Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and daily routines
• Monitor and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients
• Document services provided and report any concerns or incidents
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members
• Follow all company policies, care plans, and state regulations

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting and mobility support
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Previous DSP, caregiving, healthcare, or memory care experience is a plus but not required
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred

• Reliable Transportation
• Active Auto Insurance
• High School Diploma or GED
• Social Security Card or SSN Verification
• Valid DSP and CPR Certificate issued within the last 12 months (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
