Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist

Pay: $22.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Location: Hybrid (Fort Worth, TX Area)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join a growing pharmacy operations team in a data entry-focused role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced pharmacy technicians who thrive in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment and are looking for the potential to transition into a full-time position.

The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work while supporting pharmacy operations.

Work Arrangement

• Initial 2–3 months of onsite training
• Following successful training, transition to a hybrid schedule:
• • 2 days onsite
  • 3 days remote
• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Fort Worth, Texas area to support onsite training and hybrid work requirements.

Regular Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CT (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET)
• Occasional Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT

Training Schedule:

• First week: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
• Second week and remaining onsite training: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CT
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Enter prescription information accurately into pharmacy systems
• Prepare and process prescription orders with a high degree of accuracy
• Count, package, label, and prepare medications according to established procedures
• Support prescription refill processing and documentation
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure data integrity
• Process insurance information and payment details when applicable
• Assist with inventory management and supply organization
• Communicate professionally with pharmacists and internal healthcare teams
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
• Contribute to efficient pharmacy workflow while meeting productivity and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician and/or pharmacy data entry experience
• Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Current PTCB or NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills with excellent accuracy
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems
• Ability to report onsite daily during the training period

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, specialty, mail-order, or healthcare pharmacy environments
• Experience processing prescription insurance claims
• Familiarity with pharmacy workflow and medication dispensing processes
