Automation Manager
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a growing marine dealership with multiple locations across Central Florida, and we're investing seriously in the systems and automation that will run our business over the next several years. We're looking for a Marketing Automation & Systems Manager to bring that build to life.
This is a hybrid role by design. You'll sit at the intersection of marketing, technology, and operations, translating a broad automation roadmap into working systems while partnering closely with our external marketing firm to make sure everything we build drives real sales and customer results. You'll work directly with the owner, executing against a clear roadmap while bringing your own judgment to how each piece gets built.
This is the right fit for someone technical enough to build and connect systems themselves, business-savvy enough to know why it matters, and comfortable operating with broad scope in a hands-on environment where you'll wear several hats.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Execute the automation roadmap. Take a defined set of initiatives across marketing, sales, and operations and turn them into working, well-documented automated systems.
- Build and connect the stack. Integrate and automate across our tools, our DMS (Lightspeed), marketing and CRM platforms, inventory, and reporting, using native integrations, low-code/no-code tools, and light scripting or AI tooling where it makes sense.
- Partner with our marketing firm. Act as the internal counterpart to our external marketing partner, translating campaigns into the automation, lead routing, follow-up, and data flows that make them work, and holding them accountable to results.
- Automate the customer journey. Build lead capture and routing, follow-up sequences, review and referral requests, and other touchpoints that improve how we sell and serve.
- Turn data into decisions. Build reporting and dashboards that give the owner and team clear visibility into marketing performance, sales pipeline, and operational health.
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves
- 5+ years in marketing operations, revenue operations, business systems, or a similar technical-meets-business role.
- Hands-on experience building automations and integrating systems, whether through marketing automation/CRM platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or light scripting.
- Strong working knowledge of marketing and how automation supports it: lead generation, nurture, CRM, and campaign execution.
- Understands how the work connects to sales and customer outcomes, and can communicate clearly with the owner and marketing partner.
- A builder's mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, broad scope, and figuring things out in a small-business environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to read or write code (scripts, SQL, light automation) — not required daily, but a strong signal of how you think.
- Experience with AI tools for marketing, content, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with a DMS (dealer management system) or comparable industry/ERP platform.
- Experience in automotive, marine, powersports, or another dealership/retail environment.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Real impact. You'll build the systems this business runs on, with direct access to the owner and room to shape how each piece comes together.
- Broad scope. No two weeks look the same. If you like variety and impact over narrow specialization, you'll thrive here.
- A business that's investing. We're serious about modernizing, and this role is central to that.
We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
