Job Description
An Interventional Pain Management doctor is growing and looking for an excellent hard working female Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include:
- Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, monitor vitals document and update medical history.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc)
- Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
- Process orders for durable medical equipment.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and assist the provider during procedures.
- Request medical records from external providers as required by the provider.
- As required, conduct routine quality control checks including infection control measures, equipment, and checks for expired medication and supplies.
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions on medication usage and home care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role preferably in a pain management clinic.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices
- Experience with basic life support (BLS) procedures and medication administration
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures is a plus
-Authorized to work in US.
-Bilingual Spanish required
-Open to travel to different clinic locations in Pasadena, North Houston, Sugarland, Energy Corridor and Mid town
Skills:
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate and caring demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand and interpret medical charts and reports

Pay: From $15.00 per hour depending on experience
