Warehouse Forklift Operator Lead- Cold storage- First Shift

Position Description: Responsible for the day to day operations of the warehouse team, safety, and

ensuring work flow and efficiency. This includes overseeing security and cleanliness of the facility.

Participate in warehouse organization and product storage to meet customer specifications in

compliance with company policy, GMPs and Safety.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Protect CGW’s assets by monitoring and verifying operation of various systems, including facility

security systems and alarm status; ensure visitors are controlled and monitored through use of

badges; maintain facility cleanliness

• Perform or delegate all required warehouse logs encompassing facility temperature and

sanitation schedule

• Monitoring the pest control program including reporting broken traps and increased rodent

activity to third party contractor

• Load and unload trucks and railcars

• Receive, count, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments

• Verification of required receiving and shipping paperwork

• Strategize product placement within facility

• Awareness of Food Safety and Food Defense programs as a means of superior customer service

• Operate all warehouse equipment in safe manner

• Report to and work alongside warehouse supervisor

• Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers

• Other duties as necessary

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience

• 1 year Supervising Experience

• Proficient in high volume shipping and experienced with schedule planning in a

shipping/warehouse environment

• Interpersonal and communication skills are important

• Timely and efficient commitment to completing tasks, strong work ethic

• Strong team player

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Warehouse/inventory management system

• Forklift experience

Working Conditions:

• Repetitive work in a fast-paced environment with average temperature of Zero degree freezers -

60 degrees F (depending on worksite location)

• Some manual labor with heavy lifting required (approximately 40 pounds)

• Safety equipment may be required

• Use of motor skills to safely drive in tight quarters
