Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient.
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
  • Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced medical imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate health records (EHR) by documenting treatment notes, medical terminology, and clinical observations in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
  • Follow strict infection-prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection-control standards, to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and general dentistry procedures.
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately across diverse age groups.
  • Ability to operate dental equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
