Position Summary

Are you Mechanically inclined and know how to use small tools and quick learner? The Calibration Technician performs on-site calibration, verification, and functional testing of airflow machines for industrial and aerospace gas turbines at customer locations. This role requires domestic travel (once to twice a month) within the United States and if brought on board with CCDI as an employee, periodic international travel including Europe, Canada, and potentially Asia.

The technician represents the company in the field and works independently or with customer personnel to ensure equipment accuracy, traceability, and compliance with applicable specifications and quality standards.

Travel would be up to 15 % of work time, the other 85% would be work at the company repairing and fabricating and assembling machines. Bring your skilled hands to work to install electric motors, superchargers, air manifolds, metal plumbing etc. If you can weld, use CNC machinery, and/or fabricate parts would be a huge plus. If you prefer using soft skills like software, IT or other skills please let us know.

Key Responsibilities

Calibration & Technical Work

  • Perform on-site calibration of measurement and test equipment including:
    • Pressure, flow, temperature, and related instrumentation
  • Execute calibration procedures in accordance with:
    • Company work instructions
    • Customer specifications
    • Applicable standards (ISO-17025, ANSI, OEM specs, etc.)
  • Verify system performance and document as-found / as-left conditions
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and communicate findings clearly

Field Service & Travel

  • Travel to customer sites across:
    • United States (domestic)
    • Canada
    • Europe
    • Asia (as required)
  • Prepare and transport calibration tools, standards, and documentation
  • Coordinate schedules, site access, and local safety requirements
  • Comply with export controls, customs, and travel documentation requirements

Reporting & Documentation

  • Generate accurate calibration reports and service documentation
  • Record environmental conditions and measurement data
  • Communicate technical results to customers and internal teams
  • Maintain traceability records and calibration histories

Customer Interaction

  • Serve as a professional technical representative in the field
  • Explain calibration results and system status to customers
  • Support customer audits and technical inquiries
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements or additional support

Equipment & Quality Support

  • Maintain calibration tools and reference standards
  • Assist with internal quality audits and continuous improvement
  • Support development and refinement of calibration procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures and specifications
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent if you have experience with:
    • Flow, pressure and temperature calibration
    • Industrial test systems or custom equipment
  • Technical degree or military technical training
  • Experience working independently in customer facilities

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Travel (domestic and international), including:
    • Overnight and extended trips

  • Exposure to industrial equipment and varying environmental conditions
