FDA Production Associate (Full Time)

The Kitchen Inc. is looking to hire a full time sandwich assembler to our team in Sterling Heights, MI. We are a family owned and operated business looking to fill some vacancies AND add to our team for future growth through 2026!

OVERVIEW

Production takes place in the FDA side of operations. Each individual is responsible for keeping their area clean, organized, and to work well with others as a team member. Assembly employees are responsible for products made under FDA, MDARD, or USDA Inspection. Daily tasks will include: scrubbing, sanitizing, weighing, cutting, portioning, assembly and preparing product. This job is perfect for the individual looking for a dependable routine. Working in the sandwich assembly position requires no direct communication with customers or the general public.

In addition to this being an assembly job, we are looking for the right candidate to learn other departments such as wrapping, slicing, and/or sorting cooler operations.

THE SCHEDULE (FULL TIME)

• Monday - Friday 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM (+/-1 hour depending on production volume)
• Rotating Weekend Shifts - Every other Sunday. Currently Sunday shift is from 7AM - 12 PM

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Able to work on their feet the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift 50# (not continuously).
• Has reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willing to work in a cooler (38F) for part of the shift when learning other departments.
• Dependable, shows up on time for each shift.
• A self-starter, able to stay organized, work as a part of a team, take direction well, and work on their own when necessary.
• Able to keep processing area, equipment and other work areas clean and organized.
• Slicer experience, prior work in production / assembly style environment, including food handling is a bonus.
• Must be okay with working in an environment where day-to-day operations are routine, and follow all government regulations and/or company set rules.
• A current ServSafe or Food Manager Certification Exam is very desirable.
• Bonus points if you enjoy Pop Culture and Movies or can tell a really good joke.

COMPANY OFFERINGS

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
