Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Clinical and Administrative Support – Advanced Urogynecologic Care
Location: Skokie, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM
Compensation: $18.50–$21.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Advanced Urogynecologic Care is seeking a dedicated, professional Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered, “by women, for women” practice. This role blends clinical excellence with administrative support to ensure seamless, compassionate care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence
- Patient Intake: Escort patients to exam rooms; obtain vitals (height, weight, BP); document chief complaint and medical history in the EMR.
- Procedure Support: Assist physicians and nurses with specialized urogynecologic exams and procedures, including pelvic examinations, following strict infection control and universal precautions.
- Lab Coordination: Collect and process specimens; complete and label requisitions accurately; ensure proper routing to labs.
- Equipment & Instrument Care: Perform daily calibration of lab equipment; maintain sterility of surgical instruments; follow established sterilization protocols.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Pre‐Visit Preparation: Conduct chart reviews the day before appointments to confirm labs, documentation, and supplies are ready.
- Patient Communication: Manage clinical phone calls; triage inquiries; assist with prescription requests and pharmacy coordination.
- Front Office Collaboration: Work closely with front desk staff on scheduling, insurance verification, and processing medical forms.
- Environment Management: Maintain clean, organized, fully stocked exam rooms; monitor sample medications; maintain sterilization and equipment logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a medical clinic; OB/GYN or Urology experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred) and standard office software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent phone etiquette, strong organizational abilities, and a professional, team‐oriented attitude.
- Adaptability: Ability to maintain accuracy and composure in a busy private practice setting.
