In-Person Academic Tutor - Any Subject

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an Academic Tutor to provide one-on-one, in-person support to students across a range of subjects and grade levels. You'll help students build subject mastery, stronger study habits, and confidence through personalized instruction tailored to their learning style and academic goals. This is a great fit for educators, graduate scholars, and subject-matter experts who enjoy making complex concepts clear and engaging.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver individualized in-person tutoring sessions in subjects such as math, science, English language arts, social studies, and foreign languages.

• Help students with homework, test preparation, subject mastery, organization, and study habits.

• Adjust teaching strategies based on student performance, learning needs, and ongoing feedback.

• Maintain detailed session notes and submit accurate post-session reports.

• Communicate consistently and professionally with families about student progress.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 3 years of tutoring, teaching, or related educational experience.

• A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree or PhD in a relevant field is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more academic subjects at the elementary, middle, high school, or advanced level.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• English fluency required.

• U.S. citizenship required.

• Ability to pass a background check and subject-matter assessments.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes within the assigned service area.
