Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Principal Accountabilities

• Maintain equipment up time on production floor by timely response to equipment or product part quality problems.
• Assess quality problems on the production floor; recommend non-conforming protocols; provide feedback on non-conforming materials, such as rework, sort, or use as is.
• Provide short term solutions as required to minimize equipment down time, document issues and responses.
• Assist with determining long term solutions to repetitive issues.
• Provide input into preventive maintenance, including tasks and frequency.
• Assist with new equipment/tooling design.
• Participate in equipment run offs and equipment installation first piece run off and production startup trials.
• Participate in design of processes; document and assist with development of operator training programs and standard work instruction documentation.
• Perform changeovers on all equipment.
• Actively participate in monthly engineering project status meetings; provide input on status of projects and challenges to schedule completion.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
• Work effectively as a team member in the engineering department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; respond appropriately to 5S audits as required.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Support company goals within scope of Job Description.
• Actively participates in improvement initiatives within scope of Job Description.
• All other duties as assigned.
