Auto Mechanic
Job Description
An Auto Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. This position involves working both independently and collaboratively within a team to execute routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair complex automotive systems using standard and advanced diagnostic tools. The role requires a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address engine, brake, transmission, and electrical system concerns without the need for travel or on-site service.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine repair and maintenance
- Conduct brake system maintenance and repairs
- Execute diagnostic testing using standard and advanced computer tools
- Service vehicle transmissions
- Inspect and repair electrical systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance to avoid future issues
- Replace automotive parts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in automotive repair
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake, transmission, and electrical systems
- Strong preventive maintenance knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail
