Cosmetology Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industry and in education, a strong sense of professionalism, and a commitment to student success. This role includes teaching theory and practical techniques, mentoring students, and preparing them for both the salon floor and the Texas state board examination.

Responsibilities

• Teaching hands-on and theory-based cosmetology classes
• Helping in leading day-to-day school operations (scheduling, attendance, daily flow)
• Supporting student growth, discipline, and mentorship
• Helping build a strong, positive school culture
• Communicating with the owner and bringing ideas to the table
• Ensuring the school is in compliance with state board rules and standards
• Managing practical learning on the salon floor

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the beauty industry with expertise in hair coloring, hair cutting, hair styling, facial care, facial waxing, pedicures, manicures.
• Strong background in adult education or classroom management is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team collaboration and development.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles.
• Must have up to date cosmetology license in TX
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Sheets
