Day Porter

Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Day Porter to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be the frontline ambassador for cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial or residential properties. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that our environment remains welcoming, pristine, and well-maintained. Duties:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly.
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance.
• Assist with light custodial duties such as window cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Support facilities maintenance by monitoring building systems, reporting issues, and coordinating repairs with specialized technicians.
• Ensure all common areas are tidy, organized, and inviting by performing scheduled cleaning and upkeep tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting tenants or visitors courteously and responding promptly to their needs or inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or troubleshooting building systems.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform manual cleaning duties.

Requirements:

• Cleaning experience preferred, but not required!
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule & Pay:

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $12/hour
