Water Mitigation & Mold Remediation Manager
Job Description
Treasure State Restoration is hiring a veteran restoration leader — 10+ years of hands-on water mitigation and mold remediation required — to run field production for our Bozeman, Montana operation. $90,000–$110,000 per year plus performance bonus, with relocation assistance available. If you know the IICRC S500 and S520 inside and out and you're ready to own an operation instead of just running jobs, we want to talk.
Who we are
We're a locally owned, independent restoration company — not a franchise — serving Bozeman, Ennis, and the greater Gallatin Valley: water damage mitigation, mold remediation, demolition, and 24/7 emergency response. We run on documentation discipline, fast response, and professional tooling (Encircle field documentation, DASH job management). We're growing, and we need a manager who has already done this at a high level.
What you'll own
• Day-to-day field production across water mitigation, mold remediation, and demolition
• Leading, scheduling, and developing the field team — technicians plus a working supervisor — including the 24/7 emergency response rotation
• Drying strategy on every loss per IICRC S500: psychrometry, moisture mapping, equipment sizing and placement
• Mold remediation per IICRC S520: containment, negative air / HEPA protocols, and coordinating post-remediation verification
• Documentation compliance: daily moisture readings, drying logs, photos, and daily scope notes completed in Encircle on every active job, every day
• Equipment utilization: right-sized placement, maximized while drying, pulled promptly once dry standard is reached
• Scoping losses (Category 1–3, Class 1–4) and building clean, defensible files for carriers and adjusters
• Customer communication from first notice of loss through completion
• Safety: PPE and respirator programs, containment discipline, OSHA compliance
• Recruiting, training, and quality control as the team grows
The numbers you'll be accountable for
If you've really done this work for a decade, these will look familiar:
• Emergency response: customer contacted within 1 hour, crew on-site within 4
• Average drying time of 4 days or less on typical Category 1–2 losses
• 100% daily documentation — readings, logs, photos, scope notes; no gaps
• Equipment pulled within 24 hours of reaching dry standard
• Callback / re-service rate under 2%
• Mitigation gross margin of 55% or better
Required qualifications — please do not apply unless you meet ALL of these
• 10+ years hands-on water damage restoration experience, including mold remediation — this is a hard requirement, verified through interviews and references
• Current IICRC WRT, ASD, and AMRT certifications (have your certification numbers ready)
• 3+ years leading restoration field crews as a supervisor, project manager, or manager
• Working command of IICRC S500 and S520 standards
• Experience scoping and documenting insurance losses and working directly with adjusters
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Able to pass a respirator fit test; comfortable working in PPE, crawlspaces, and attics; able to lift 50 lbs
Nice to have
• Xactimate estimating
• Encircle or a similar field documentation platform
• DASH / NextGear or similar restoration job management software
• CAT / storm response experience
• OSHA 10/30, lead RRP, asbestos awareness
Pay, benefits & relocation
• $90,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Performance bonus tied to the production metrics above
• Relocation assistance available for out-of-area candidates
• Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, fuel, and phone ← EDIT to match what you offer
• Health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) ← EDIT to match what you offer
Why Bozeman
Live where other people vacation. Yellowstone is 90 minutes away; Big Sky and Bridger Bowl skiing, blue-ribbon trout water, and real backcountry are out your door. Montana has no state sales tax, Bozeman's economy keeps restoration volume steady year-round, and BZN has direct flights to most major hubs. This is a lifestyle move that comes with a serious job attached.
How to apply
Apply through ZipRecruiter with a resume that shows your restoration history job by job — companies, roles, and the certifications you hold. Applications without verifiable 10+ years of restoration experience and current IICRC certifications will not be advanced.
