Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assemble retarder sub-assemblies and complete final assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate a wide range of hand and power tools including pneumatic impact guns, cordless drills, combination wrenches, thread taps, pry bars, carpenter and combination squares, tape measures, and sledge hammers.
• Build, test, and inspect completed assemblies — recording results and flagging non-conformances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to 1/16" tape measure accuracy.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and sit-down forklifts to move and position heavy components safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in line with 5S standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Trackside quality standards.
• Assist co-workers across assembly stages and support team output targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Manufacturing / assembly floor environment — exposure to noise, grease, and heavy machinery.
• Required to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• PPE required at all times on the production floor (steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, gloves — provided).
• May be required to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted shifts to meet production deadlines.
