Electrical Foreman (Non-Industrial) - Austin, Texas


Do you have electrical construction experience and the confidence to lead a field crew from the front? Can you combine strong technical knowledge with clear communication, sound judgment, and an uncompromising approach to safety?


The role

DP Electric is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee non-industrial electrical installation projects across its field operations.


This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside electricians while coordinating daily activity, maintaining standards, and keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.


You will be responsible for the quality of the work completed by your crew. You will also act as a key link between field teams, Project Managers, General Foremen, and other trades.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical crews carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair work
  • Plan daily activities, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and safety requirements
  • Monitor progress, workmanship, schedules, and the use of labor
  • Identify site issues and resolve electrical problems promptly
  • Coordinate with project leadership and other trades
  • Train, support, and mentor electricians and apprentices
  • Manage tools, equipment, and materials
  • Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project records

The person

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
  • Ten years of electrical construction experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction operations, and safety standards
  • The ability to troubleshoot problems and interpret technical documents
  • Experience supervising, training, and developing field crews
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in changing conditions


Experience leading teams on medium- or large-scale projects would be preferred. Experience within industrial, water, wastewater, or hazardous environments would also be an advantage.
