JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as an Engineering Functional Area Electrical Engineer [Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) – Electrical (Field Engineer)] (CO102) under Labor Category: Construction Discipline Engineer at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina. Electrical Engineer [Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) – Electrical (Field Engineer)] - Engineering (CO102) works collaboratively as part of the ProSidian Engagement Team as Exempt personnel. Dedicated Planned Labor Hours (DPLH) of 2080 Straight Time (ST) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.) | 300 Overtime Time (OT) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.). This is a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position, and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian-employed W-2 Position. The role(s) are located at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina with identified Work Site Address (121 Richland Ave E, Aiken, SC 29801, USA) providing Engineering functions working to provide BOA Support Services for multiple department requirement Service Areas (SA) for Savannah River Remediation LLC (The SRMC/LW Contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (DOE-SRS) in Aiken, SC to support the evolving needs of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Electrical Engineer [Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) – Electrical (Field Engineer)] - Engineering (CO102) Electrical Engineer - Construction Discipline Engineer [Field Engineer] is responsible for planning and technical oversight of field construction activities within a specified discipline associated with procurement, fabrication, installation, modification, and maintenance of systems and components.Coordinates with Design agencies to ensure timely issuance of new designs or design changes.Walks down and reviews designs for constructability, resolves design problems encountered in the field during construction, and meets with Design Engineers to discuss solutions.Inspects / verifies materials, equipment, and construction workmanship and assures compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements.Coordinates with Quality Control to ensure the installation meets the requirements.Participates in turnover activities. Supports/ participates in start-up and functional check-out of equipment and systems. Position requires a thorough understanding of Construction Engineering principles and the ability to apply them to field conditions.
