As a Registered Dietitian (RD) at Greendale Park Nursing & Rehab, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care to our residents in Greendale, Wisconsin. Our long-term care facility is dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming environment, and we're seeking a talented and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop personalized meal plans for our residents, taking into account their dietary needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds

  • Coordinate with our culinary team to ensure that meal services meet our high standards for quality and presentation

  • Monitor and report on resident outcomes, making recommendations for improvements to our food and nutrition services

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that address our residents' physical, emotional, and social needs

  • Provide education and counseling to residents, families, and caregivers on nutrition, meal planning, and healthy eating habits

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in nutrition and dietetics, and incorporate this knowledge into our care services

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to our facility's accreditation process

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Nutrition or Dietetics

  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably with a focus on gerontology

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents, with or without assistance
