Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a local partner known for structural steel fabrication and erection work. If you thrive in a fast-moving shop and enjoy the satisfaction of fit-up done right and welds that pass on the first inspection, this role is for you.

A day in the life

At 7:00 AM, you gear up, review the day’s blueprints, drawings, and layout specs, and plan your sequence. You’ll fit, assemble, and weld steel components—switching between TIG, MIG, and Arc (Stick) processes depending on the joint, position, and material thickness. Some days include lending a hand on steel erection welding projects. Throughout the day, you keep your area organized, follow safety standards, and check your work for alignment, penetration, and finish quality.

What you’ll handle

• Perform TIG, MIG, and Arc welding on structural steel parts and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications
• Fit, assemble, and weld components to exacting project requirements
• Support steel erection welding projects when needed (experience preferred)
• Operate welding equipment safely while producing high-caliber work
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures

Schedule, pay, and openings

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (shift times may vary depending on project requirements)

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00+/HR, based on experience

Open roles: 1 Welder and 1 Fitter/Welder

What you bring

• Hands-on experience with TIG, MIG, and/or Arc welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Proven track record fitting and assembling steel components
• Steel erection welding experience preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Comfort working independently and within a team
