Our work depends on a VDI Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.As a VDI Engineer supporting the Government, you will be trusted to engineer new and improved enhancements for existing and emerging virtual desktop technologies. In this role, a typical day will include:)81; Engineering, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and managing the full life cycle of the complex Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in the large Enterprise environment)81; Designing and supporting Microsoft infrastructure solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud and hybrid)81; Interacting with Government stakeholders regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts)81; Engineering, implementing, mitigating, monitoring, and tuning VDI environment and management software to obtain Authorize to Operate (ATO) for new VDI solutions)81; Managing Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning))81; Managing Azure products (Azure Virtual Desktops))81; Operating and executing scripting skills in PowerShell or Python)81; Providing Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)))81; Preparing and maintaining documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projectsWHAT YOU'LL NEED:)81; Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies)81; Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM))81; Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover)81; Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures)81; Expertise in the Windows 10/11 – Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.)81; Experience with Remote Desktop Service (RDS) on Windows Server 2019/2022)81; Ability to deploy Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) on Windows Server 2019/2022Preferred certification(s):)81; Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101))81; CWS-215: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Administration On-Premises and in Citrix Cloud)81; Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312))81; Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
