We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance and operations environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience maintaining industrial production equipment and working safely with 480V, 3-phase electrical power.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing equipment problems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, meters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot and maintain 480V, 3-phase electrical systems, motors, starters, disconnects, breakers, transformers, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other industrial control components.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore production equipment to safe operating conditions.
- Complete preventive maintenance activities and accurately document work performed.
- Assist with equipment installation, startup, modification, and improvement projects.
- Follow OSHA, lockout/tagout (LOTO), company safety procedures, and other applicable safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
- Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor, production, and operations personnel to identify recurring equipment issues and improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status and repair needs to management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Technical degree, industrial maintenance certificate, or equivalent technical training.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with 480V, 3-phase power.
- Strong electronic and industrial controls troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools effectively.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and LOTO procedures.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple maintenance issues, and respond effectively to equipment emergencies.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Welding, fabrication, machining, or HVAC experience is a plus.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas as required.
- Ability to lift and move maintenance-related equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, overtime, or respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
- Must be comfortable working around industrial machinery and electrical equipment while following all required safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license required.
