Location: Charlotte, NC; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY
Salary: $225,000–$435,000
Direct Counsel is seeking a Structured Finance Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm's Structured Finance practice in Charlotte, Los Angeles, or New York. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate with at least 4 years of experience handling sophisticated structured finance transactions.
The successful candidate will have strong deal experience at a law firm with a focus on structured finance, lending, securitization, or similar financing structures. Experience across a variety of asset types and transaction structures is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in sophisticated structured finance transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for structured finance and securitization matters.
- Advise clients on lending, securitization, and other complex financing structures.
- Support transactions involving a variety of asset classes and financing structures.
- Analyze transaction structures and identify legal and commercial considerations.
- Coordinate with clients, counterparties, lenders, investors, and other transaction participants.
- Manage transaction workstreams and help drive matters from inception through closing.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence as needed.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and other professionals on complex finance transactions.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- At least 4 years of structured finance experience.
- Significant law firm experience handling structured finance transactions.
- Experience with structured finance, lending, securitization, or similar financing structures.
- Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills.
- Experience across multiple asset types and transaction structures is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Competitive base salary of $225,000–$435,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
