Pay: $58,240 - $83,200/ annually (Based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages in our acute-care setting in Russellville, Arkansas. The role includes patient assessment and treatment, diagnostic testing, respiratory therapies, emergency response, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team. We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable professional with strong critical-thinking skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
-> Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and provide appropriate respiratory care and treatments.
- Perform respiratory diagnostic testing, including bedside testing, EKGs, and blood gas analysis.
- Deliver respiratory therapies and monitor patients for changes in condition and response to treatment.
- Respond promptly to codes and emergency respiratory calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, medications, treatments, and illness management.
- Provide tobacco cessation education as appropriate.
- Provide respiratory care to patients ranging from neonatal through older adult populations.
- Maintain, calibrate, and safely operate respiratory equipment.
- Monitor and manage respiratory supplies and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.
- Follow all applicable safety, infection-control, and clinical practice standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
-> Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Arkansas required.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Current PALS certification required.
- Current NRP certification required.
- Ability to work the required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night schedule.
- Ability to work on-site at the Russellville, Arkansas facility.
