Step into a meaningful part-time opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Denver area. This contract position spans the school year and offers a focused, manageable caseload working exclusively onsite with one school community. Within this role, you'll provide essential speech and language services to children with mild to moderate needs, helping them achieve academic and social success.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification
- Current Colorado SLP License (accepted titles: Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech Connectionist, or Speech Therapist for ages birth through 21)
- Must complete required fingerprinting and district background checks in a timely manner
- Experience in school-based settings, particularly with K-12 mild-moderate caseloads, is highly preferred
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ages birth through 21 with mild to moderate communication challenges
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to multi-disciplinary educational planning teams
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with faculty and families
- Maintain detailed progress notes and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Work two full days per week onsite at a single campus to promote consistency and relationship-building
- Communicate clearly with teachers, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive environment for student growth
