Quality Technician
Job Description
The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that products and services consistently meet established specifications and regulatory standards. In this role, you test and inspect products, analyze quality data, and document results accurately while supporting continuous improvement efforts across the operation.
Responsibilities- Test products and services, analyze results, and make clear recommendations for quality improvements.
- Ensure all products and services meet defined specifications and quality standards.
- Use required gauging instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gages, and apply them correctly to perform inspections.
- Run and monitor inspection equipment to record, interpret, and analyze quality data.
- Understand and follow regulatory requirements to help ensure compliance in all inspection activities.
- Complete all necessary documents, inspection records, and reports fully, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to 5S standards by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform basic quality checks and visual inspections to identify defects or nonconformities.
- Collaborate with higher-level staff by escalating complex issues and providing clear information on findings.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall quality control and assurance processes.
- Experience in inspection, quality control, or quality assurance in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to perform accurate visual inspections and identify defects or irregularities.
- Proficiency in using gauging instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement gages.
- Ability to run and monitor inspection equipment and record quality data consistently and accurately.
- Beginning to working knowledge of quality-related subject matter and inspection techniques.
- Capability to perform work under direct supervision and follow established procedures.
- Skill in handling basic issues and problems and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Understanding of and adherence to Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S standards.
- Comfort working with measurement tools and basic metrology concepts.
- Willingness to learn and develop deeper knowledge of quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work effectively on 1st or 2nd shift as scheduled.
- Strong communication skills to clearly report inspection results and quality concerns.
- Reliability and consistency in following instructions and established workflows.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a clean, climate-controlled facility designed to support a comfortable and safe working experience. You will work on either 1st shift (approximately 5:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) or 2nd shift (approximately 1:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and various gages in a production or manufacturing setting. The environment follows 5S principles, emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and efficiency, and operates under well-defined Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
