School Occupational Therapist | Salem, New Hampshire

Step into a dynamic opportunity as a contracted Occupational Therapist serving K-12 students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, supporting schools near Salem, NH. As one of two OTs, you’ll have the chance to collaborate across multiple school sites, providing vital therapy services and making a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys.

Ideal candidates are adaptable and comfortable working in varied environments, with openness to travel between more than one school. The role includes the opportunity to support students using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices, so familiarity and flexibility in approach are strong assets.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license (NH) and eligibility to work in a school-based setting
• Previous experience with K-12 populations preferred
• Flexibility in adapting to different school environments
• Willingness to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
• Comfort or willingness to learn about AAC devices
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of students across age groups

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group OT services per IEPs for K-12 students
• Conduct assessments and document progress according to school policies
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including teachers and related service professionals
• Travel between assigned schools as needed to support caseload
• Maintain timely, accurate records and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Adapt interventions for students utilizing AAC and other assistive technologies
