Job Description

Exciting opportunities await certified Occupational Therapy Assistants eager to make an impact across multiple school sites for the upcoming academic year. Step into an engaging contract role supporting students’ growth and success near Liberty, MO. This assignment will begin August 25th, ideally covering through December 18th for a leave—however, candidates interested in continued placement through the full school year (ending late May) are encouraged to apply.

You’ll work closely with a supportive team and enjoy the autonomy to create your own schedule, ensuring every student on your caseload receives dedicated service each week. Oversight and guidance will be provided at the start of the year to help you get acclimated, and you can focus on direct work with students. Expect a manageable caseload of approximately 32 students (about 800 minutes weekly), spread across several elementary, middle, and high schools for an enriching, dynamic experience. Full-time hours run Monday to Friday, approximately 7.5 hours per day.

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
  • Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload
  • Flexibility to adapt to multiple school environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation of services and progress
  • Adapt therapy strategies to best fit student needs across different campus settings
  • Participate in meetings and consultations as required
