Instructional Assistant - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Multiple openings are available across high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels for the upcoming academic year, making this a fantastic opportunity to focus your skills where they’re needed most.

These positions are scheduled Monday through Friday and follow the school calendar beginning August 31, 2026, through June 10, 2027, for approximately 32 hours per week. Shift times vary by school level, providing flexibility to align with your preferences and experience.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• RI Teacher Assistant Certification or active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with previous school-based experience
• Background working effectively with children and adolescents
• Adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive educational atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group support to students in alignment with educational plans
• Assist classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral needs
• Promote student independence and reinforce learning objectives
• Support students with a variety of physical, academic, or behavioral needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
• Help create a nurturing environment that encourages student engagement
