In this full-time contract position, you'll collaborate with educators and families to address the speech and communication needs of children, guiding them to academic growth and greater confidence. Working Monday through Friday during school hours, you'll become an essential member of a welcoming, multidisciplinary team focused on student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Florida
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience or strong interest in working in K-12 school settings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and team participation
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ needs and educational goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and contribute valuable insights to student care teams
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
