Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting early learners in a vibrant school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a difference in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) for children ages 3-5. The assignment spans 12 weeks and is located in the Blaine, MN area, serving as a long-term substitute during the fall semester.

You’ll work part-time (22.5 hours weekly) across three days each week, collaborating with educators and families to support students’ speech and language development. Your expertise will promote communication growth, helping young children develop the foundational skills they need for lifelong learning.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (required for consideration)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
  • Previous experience working as a school-based SLP, especially with early childhood populations
  • Familiarity with ECSE caseloads and IEP documentation for students ages 3-5
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy to ECSE students, ages 3-5, as part of early intervention support
  • Assess speech, language, and communication skills; develop treatment plans accordingly
  • Complete all required IEP paperwork and progress notes in a timely manner
  • Consult regularly with educators and caregivers to monitor student progress
  • Create supportive, engaging session plans tailored to diverse learning needs
