Social Worker | Chester, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful impact supporting students and their families as a School Social Worker at two dedicated educational sites, serving either middle or elementary school-aged children. This full-time, onsite contract role (37.5 hours/week) starts August 24, 2026, and spans the entire academic year through June 10, 2027. Key Qualifications:

• Active MSW license in Pennsylvania is required
• Previous experience in a school-based social work setting
• Compliance with PA Department of Education requirements: valid School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate or holding an emergency permit, LSW/LCSW status, plus enrollment in a PDE-approved program
• Able to secure all mandatory Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
• Flexible and skilled in meeting the needs of students in urban school communities
• Comfortable collaborating onsite during standard school hours (8:30 AM–4 PM)
• Willingness to participate in a virtual (Zoom) interview
• Transparency in disclosing district affiliations prior to submission

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and interventions to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or personal challenges
• Facilitate communication between school staff, families, and outside agencies
• Develop action plans and referrals to community resources as needed
• Assist in crisis intervention and promote a safe, supportive school climate
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
