School-Based Physical Therapist - Bensalem, PA
Job Description
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year, with services extending into summer 2027. This position primarily centers on serving students in and around the Newtown area, with a day’s caseload in the Morrisville/Pennsbury region. Coverage needs may also include Carbon County and/or Lehigh County, offering a rewarding variety in your workweek.
Ideal candidates are passionate about making a meaningful impact in school settings and possess specialized skills in pediatric physical therapy. The schedule features 3-4 days per week, totaling approximately 21-28 hours weekly, allowing for a healthy work-life balance throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure to practice Physical Therapy
- Minimum of one year of experience working with preschool-aged children
- In-person availability only—this is not a remote or hybrid position
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and educational collaboration
- Ability to travel between designated service locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess, plan, and document student progress in collaboration with educators and families
- Support inclusion and accessibility within the educational environment
- Provide consultative services and participate in team meetings as required
