Job Description
Step into a rewarding role as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting serving students across multiple schools in the Montgomery area. Immediate openings are available to provide both therapy and evaluations, supporting a diverse caseload with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ daily lives. This assignment runs through May 2027, offering consistency and professional growth throughout the school year.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Alabama Educator SLP Certification (may begin with “pending” status)
- Previous experience in school-based therapy preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 60 students
- Proficient in conducting speech/language evaluations and developing comprehensive plans of care
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Committed to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging therapy services and evaluations to students onsite
- Work at either a single campus or split assignments among two or three nearby schools, depending on placement
- Maintain organized records of therapy outcomes and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to optimize student achievement
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student planning
- Ensure compliance with regulations and school policies
- Foster an encouraging and positive learning atmosphere
