ABR is recruiting a 1st or 2nd shift MIG or TIG Welder in Wausau, WI. Enjoy 3 day weekends on 2nd shift!
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour starting wage, based on experience.
Schedule: 1st shift is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 2nd shift is Monday – Thursday, 3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.- 3 day weekends!
Advancement Opportunity: Employees are eligible for a potential $1.00 per hour wage increase after 60 days based on performance and attendance. Additional pay increases are available through advancement within our Welder Level Program.

This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with TIG welding, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship.

- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials prior to welding.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality control requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
- Assist with additional fabrication and manufacturing duties as assigned.
- Previous TIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
