Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Port Saint Lucie, FL

Qualifications & Experience

• Active Florida Department of Health OTA license required
• Experience working with students in school-based settings highly valued
• Must complete district fingerprinting requirements (clearing from AHCA Clearinghouse is accepted if printed previously)
• Ability to effectively manage a flexible schedule across multiple school locations
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to students in PreK through 12th grade
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Carry out interventions and track student progress across varied caseloads
• Support students in developing and practicing daily living and classroom skills to access the curriculum
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required

This position is expected to run from ASAP through June 1, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week during the school year. You’ll enjoy the variety of serving different locations while making a consistent, meaningful impact in each community.
