Beginning August 24, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, you'll engage a vibrant group of high school students in the Ypsilanti area, teaching core math subjects and supporting each student’s academic journey. The position offers 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to fully dedicate your expertise to cultivating both knowledge and confidence in your classroom.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a current Math Endorsement (please include your credentials with your application)
- Previous experience teaching math at the high school level is highly valued
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to diverse learning styles
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction to high school students
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and individualized support as needed
