School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Katy, Texas

Step into a rewarding role supporting secondary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic contract position for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site opportunity offers the flexibility to work primarily at one location with the possibility of floating to a second campus, based on your home address and district needs. Full-time hours are available (37.5 per week), and part-time schedules may be considered (minimum 30 hours weekly).

You will make a meaningful impact by addressing the communication needs of middle and high school students, working with a caseload averaging 80 to 90 individuals. The assignment is thoughtfully balanced according to your expertise. Familiarity with AAC devices is a strong advantage, as these are frequently integrated into students’ support plans.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid professional SLPA license required
• Demonstrated experience with school-based SLPA responsibilities, particularly with secondary-age students
• Experience or proficiency with AAC devices strongly preferred
• Ability to successfully pass state fingerprinting and background check
• Flexible to work across a maximum of two campuses as needed
• Open to both experienced and entry-level SLPA candidates who possess strong organizational and communication skills

Role Expectations:

• Deliver high-quality speech/language interventions for middle and high school students
• Collaborate closely with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all school district protocols
• Adapt to changing needs within the caseload and school locations
• Engage in professional development and ongoing training as required
